Kyrie Irving could make his home debut for the Brooklyn Nets vs the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday.
The All-Star guard will be eligible to play at Barclays Center, as the Mayor of New York City will lift the vaccine mandate.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the exception to the vaccine mandate will refer to unvaccinated athletes and performers in workplace. The official announcement will be made on Thursday.

Kyrie Irving has been unvaccinated and therefore he was unavailable for the Nets’ home games. The superstar of Brooklyn was eligible to play in road games, apart from San Francisco and Toronto.
In 19 games for the Nets, he is averaging 27.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.3 assists, while shooting at 49% from the field and 43% from beyond the arc.
Brooklyn hopes the return of Kyrie Irving will help the team become a legit title contender in the East. The Nets are eighth in the standings, at 38-34.
