Kyle Lowry opened up about the reasons that led to his struggles with the Miami Heat during the 2021/22 season.
The former All-Star missed several games because of injuries and the lack of chemistry with his teammates was the main reason for his struggles.
“I’m still dealing with it. It’s a situation when it’s better, I’ll talk about it more. But it’s definitely something that kind of derailed my whole season and kept me derailed for a long time. Still, to this day, it’s still something I deal with every single day. I actually got a phone call just now about it,” Kyle Lowry said, via Fresno Bee.
Lowry missed 19 regular season games and several playoff games for the Heat last season. He averaged a career-low 13.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 7.5 assists.
The Heat came a step away from reaching the NBA Finals last season, but got eliminated in Game 7 from the Boston Celtics. For his part, Lowry aims to return to shape and get back to his All-Star level next season.
