Miami Heat could not avoid the defeat in Game 3 of the series vs Atlanta. At the top of that, they could be missing Kyle Lowry for the next game.

Lowry went down with a left hamstring injury in the third quarter of the Miami Heat loss in Atlanta.

Lowry left with 1:59 remaining in the third quarter, at which point the Heat led by 13. The Hawks outscored them by 14 the rest of the way.

Atlanta retook the lead with 4.4 seconds remaining with Trae Young’s floater, which led to the final 110-111 victory.

“All we know right now is that it’s a hamstring. I do not know the severity of it, we will find out more tomorrow,” head coach Erik Spoelstra said.

The Hawks finished the quarter on a 6-1 run and then outscored Miami 34-25 in the fourth to close things out.

Lowry finished with six points, four rebounds and five assists in 23 minutes. His status is uncertain for Game 4 of the best-of-seven series.

The Hawks now trail the series 2-1. Game 4 is Sunday at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena.
