The New York Knicks have engaged in talks with the Utah Jazz about Donovan Mitchell, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
The Knicks could quickly construct a package and trade for the superstar guard and have attracted Utah’s interest.

New York has a total of eight first-round picks available for a trade, along with a handful of players that could be included in the deal.
For their part, the Jazz will seek for a similar package to the one they received from the Minnesota Timberwolves for Rudy Gobert (five players, four first-round picks). Yet, given Mitchell is younger and more talented than the Frenchman, the price could be even higher.
Donovan Mitchell joined Utah in 2017 and has been the Jazz’s leader since 2019. Last season, he averaged 25.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists.
