Milwaukee Bucks star Khris Middleton will be out for at least two weeks and will miss the rest of the series against the Chicago Bulls, the team announced.

The 2021 champion suffered a medial collateral ligament in his left knee during Game 2 loss Wednesday. The veteran underwent an MRI in Milwaukee on Thursday.

”He’s always been positive and he knows the type of team that we are and how resilient we are,” Bucks guard Jrue Holiday said, via NBA.com. ”We just want him to get back as quickly as possible and be healthy so he can come out here and help us win games.”

The Bucks head to Chicago on Friday for Game 3 with the series tied at 1-1. Middleton’s absence is a huge blow for Milwaukee.

The Bucks are  86-34 when Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday are in the floor together.

A three-time All-Star, Middleton experienced a drop this season averaging 20.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.4 assists while shooting 37% from 3 this season.

The Bucks have a 7-9 record when they’re missing the 30-year-old All-Star this season. However, Milwaukee did outscore opponents by 7.8 points per 100 possessions when Antetokounmpo and Holiday played without Middleton on the floor.
