Kevin Durant would vote for Philadelphia 76ers superstar Joel Embiid to win the MVP award this season.
The All-Star forward spoke with the media after the victory over the Portland Trail Blazers (123-128) and gave his take on the MVP race.
“I would go between Joel Embiid, DeMar DeRozan, Ja Morant – those are my top 3, I would probably go Joel. Could throw Jokic in there but I’d go Joel,” Kevin Durant said, via SNYtv.

Joel Embiid is averaging 29.9 points, 11.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 56 games with the Sixers this season. He is also shooting at 48.9% from the field and 36.5% from beyond the arc.
For his part, Jokic, the reigning MVP, is having another remarkable season. The Serbian center has played 63 games with Denver this season. He is averaging 26 points, 13.8 boards and 8.1 assists, at 57.4% from the field and 35.4% from beyond the arc.
Kevin Durant could also be in the MVP race, however he has missed several games because of injuries. Durant has made just 43 appearances this season, having averages of 29.2 points (51.9% from the field, 37.2% in three-pointers), 7.2 rebounds and 6 assists.
