Kendrick Nunn confirms he will pick up player option with Lakers

Kendrick Nunn will be among the few Los Angeles Lakers players that will remain with the team next season.
The young guard spoke with reporters on Monday and confirmed he will pick up his player option for the 2022/23 season, worth $5.3M.
“Knowing I just took this entire year off, it’s a no-brainer for me to opt-in,” Nunn said, via Michael Corvo of ClutchPoints.
Kendrick Nunn missed the entire 2021/22 season because of a knee injury he sustained in preseason. The Lakers got eliminated from the play-in tournament and are expected to make many changes to the roster.
Head coach Frank Vogel parted ways with the franchise on Monday and the Lakers aim to hire his replacement by the NBA Draft on June 23.
