Joel Embiid will keep playing in the postseason, despite dealing with a right thumb injury. The superstar big man underwent an MRI on Sunday, which revealed a torn ligament in the thumb.
The leader of the Philadelphia 76ers will need surgery to repair the damage, however this will happen in the offseason. As Doc Rivers said on Sunday, Joel Embiid will continue playing in the playoffs.

Embiid played through the injury in Saturday’s Game 4 loss to the Toronto Raptors (102-110), finishing with 21 points, eight rebounds and three assists.
“I want to play. Obviously, I’m gonna listen to whatever they have to say so I would imagine that I would imagine that keep playing and then probably do something after the season,” Joel Embiid told media on Saturday.
Philadelphia big man has been averaging 26.0 points, 11.8 boards, 2.3 assists and 0.5 blocks vs the Raptors so far. The Sixers lead the series 3-1 and need another victory to advance to the semi-finals of the Eastern Conference.
