Philadelphia 76ers‘ season came to a disappointing end after the Gm6 loss to the Miami Heat. Joel Embiid thinks weren’t aggressive enough, while he dropped an interesting quote on James Harden during the post-game presser.
Harden could not help the Sixers bounce back in Gm 6 and force a Game 7. He scored all of his 11 points in the first half. He had four turnovers and four baskets, while his last basket of the game came with 3:31 remaining in the second quarter.
“Obviously, I am sure since we got him, everybody expected the Houston James Harden but that’s not who he is anymore,” Embiid said. “He is more of a playmaker.”
“I thought at times, as all of us, could have been more aggressive you know whether Tobias, Tyrese, guys coming off the bench. I don’t talk only offensively, but also defensively”, Embiid continued.
The Sixers will go back to the drawing board this summer. However, Harden needs to find ways to be more effective, if the team wants to succeed. During his time in Houston, he averaged 36.1 points per game in the regular season and 31.6 points per in the postseason.
He came close to his old self in Game 4 when he scored 31 points to lead Philadelphia to the win and tie the series (2-2) vs Miami. In the 2022 playoffs, Harden put up 18.6 points on 40.6 percent shooting from the field.
