Jimmy Butler says Heat will return to title contention next year

Jimmy Butler is pretty confident the Miami Heat will return to title contention next season. The All-Star forward and his team came a step away from reaching the NBA Finals for the second time in 3 years.

However, they saw the Boston Celtics emerge victorious in Game 7 (100-96) and advance to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2010.

“I think we had enough – I think we do have enough. It sucks because you don’t know who is going to be on the roster any given year, you know what I’m saying?

We had enough. Next year, we will have enough and we’re going to be right back in the same situation, and we’re going to get it done,” Jimmy Butler said, via The Athletic’s Joe Vardon.

With their core set to remain together for at least another year, the Heat will aim to make a few changes in the summer to bolster their roster and fight for the championship next season.
