Reporting from Philadelphia
Jimmy Butler addressed the return of Joel Embiid in Game 3 and whether it was the main reason the Miami Heat failed to win.
The superstar of the Heat said Embiid’s return certainly changed the game, but it wasn’t the main reason Miami lost to the Philadelphia 76ers (79-99).
“Of course, you add Jo to any team, home or away, the game, the scouting report, it changes drastically.
He’s been like that for his entire career but that’s not really the reason why we lost that game. We didn’t get back, we turned the ball over, we didn’t get stops, we fouled, there was a lot that went into that but he is a big part of it,” Jimmy Butler told media afterwards.
Despite the defeat, the Heat still lead the series 2-1. Game 4 is scheduled to take place at Wells Fargo Center on Sunday.
