Following the trade of Rudy Gobert to the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Utah Jazz have no intention to let Donovan Mitchell leave as well.
This is what Brian Windhorst of ESPN reports, noting that the Jazz and Mitchell have mutual interest to continue their collaboration.
“For now, the Jazz are telling people they don’t intend to trade [Donovan Mitchell] and on Mitchell’s side, he’s going to stand pat. He’s not going to force any action right now,” Windhorst said during his appearance on Get Up.

A few days ago, NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN also mentioned Utah’s intention to not trade Mitchell and build around him.
“Danny Ainge, Justin Zanik, and Utah’s front office, they want to continue to build a roster around Mitchell.
Certainly, Utah, they have shut down any team who’s called about trying to trade for Donovan Mitchell. The Jazz are committed to moving forward with him as their cornerstone player,” Wojnarowski revealed, via ClutchPoints on Twitter.
Donovan Mitchell has four years and $135M left on his current contract with the Jazz.
