Jayson Tatum kept the Boston Celtics alive in Game 6 of the series vs the Milwaukee Bucks. In an epic showdown in Milwaukee between Tatum and Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Celtics forced Game 7 in Boston.

After the game, Tatum spoke with reporters about the motivation behind his 46-point masterpiece. The Celtics star finished with 46 points on 53 percent shooting from the field and 46 percent on 15 attempts from beyond the arc.

“Knowing that if we lost our season would be over with. You know, I was excited to play today. Game 6. This was, like, a big moment for all of us, for, you know, myself and the team, how we’d respond.

You know, losing Game 5 was gonna make us or break us. And I think we showed a lot of toughness and growth, coming out here and getting the win on the road and just, you know, giving ourselves a chance.”

Tatum was crucial during the fourth quarter scoring 16 of his 46 points in the fourth quarter including 11 straight to put the game away. It was a great bounce back performance for the Celtics, who lost Game 5 at home 110-107 after blowing a 14-point lead.

The Bucks have fought hard to not let the series go to a Game 7, but, Giannis Antetokounmpo effort with 44 points and 20 rebounds was not enough. Milwaukee playing without Khris Middleton hurt their chances during Game 6.

Game 7 has the makings to be a classic NBA playoff game. It will take place Sunday evening at Boston Garden.
