Philadelphia 76ers superstar James Harden had a tough postseason run with the team. The Sixers were eliminated in six games in the semifinal series vs Miami. In the aftermath of the loss, the former MVP talked about his future with the franchise.

“I’ll be here,” Harden said on his future. “(‘I’ll do) whatever allows this team to continue to grow and get better and do the things necessary to compete at the highest level”

The former Rockets superstar was not his usual self this season putting career-low numbers in shooting percentage and points. He put up 18.6 points on 40.6 percent shooting from the field during this playoff run.

The Sixers’ star even threw shade at his head coach Doc Rivers in the aftermath of Game 6 loss after shooting zero times in the second half.

“We ran offense, and the ball just didn’t get back to me” said Harden on his aggressiveness during the second half.

He scored all of his 11 points in the first half. He had four turnovers and four baskets, while his last made basket of the game came with 3:31 remaining in the second quarter.

In a later part of his post-game presser, Harden admitted he’s willing to take less money regarding his extension in order to help the Sixers’ building process.

“Whatever it takes to help this team continue to grow and put us up there with the best of them,” the 10-time All-Star stated.

The Sixers will probably need to shake things up this summer after a disappointing ending to their season. However, Harden seems to be committed to be part of the team for the future.
