Isaiah Thomas will remain with the Charlotte Hornets for the remainder of the season. As Shams Charania of The Athletic reports, the Hornets will keep the veteran guard until the end of the season.
Isaiah Thomas has been part of Charlotte since March 2. After signing a couple of two-way contracts, the former All-Star agreed to a third deal with the Hornets and will finally make his return to the league full time.
The veteran point guard has appeared in six games with Charlotte so far, averaging nine points and 2.2 assists in 14 minutes on the floor. The Hornets are 7-2 since signing Isaiah Thomas.

With 10 games left until the end of the regular season, Charlotte is ninth with a 37-35 record. They are 1.5 games above 10th-placed Atanta Hawks (35-36) and are close to securing their spot in the play-in tournament.
At the same time, they are four games below the Cleveland Cavaliers (41-31), so they still have a chance to directly qualify for the playoffs.
If that doesn’t happen, though, Isaiah Thomas and the Hornets will need a win in the play-in tournament to reach the postseason.
