Robert Williams III is still questionable ahead of the Boston Celtics win or go home game vs the Milwaukee Bucks Friday night. Williams is listed questionable with knee soreness.
Ime Udoka pointed out that William’s soreness has nothing to do with his surgery last month to repair the meniscus in his left knee. Williams returned from the knee surgery in the first-round series against the Brooklyn Nets in Game 3 and 4.
“He got his knee scanned and everything structurally is good.” Udoka told reporters Friday. “Looks fine. The swelling went down, but he still had some soreness and pain.”
The Celtics haven’t had Williams the last two games against Milwaukee. They went 1-1 in those two contests, with Grant Williams stepping up in the starting lineup. Williams took a hit in the knee during Game 3 of the semifinal series.
“There’s no problems with the surgery at all,” Udoka stated. “It’s just that specific hit that he took.”
The Celtics are trailing the Bucks 3-2 in the Eastern Conference semifinals after dropping Game 5 of the series at home. The Celtics will need the win to stay alive and return to Boston Sunday.
