Ime Udoka praised the Boston Celtics for their team spirit after Game 1 win over the Golden State Warriors (120-108).

The head coach of the Celtics saw four of his players score 18+ points and that was one of the keys for Game 1 triumph. Udoka also said Boston has a lot of players that can contribute on both ends.

“We do look at ourselves as a complete unit, as a team. We’ve seen the teams that rely on guys in the Playoffs, whether it was Brooklyn the first round with Durant, Milwaukee with Antetokounmpo and Miami with Butler.

We know if you take those guys out, teams are going to struggle. We pride ourselves on everybody being able to contribute on both ends.

That’s rewarding, especially on a night when your best guy has an off night. Others step up,” Ime Udoka told media, including Hedgeout.net, afterwards.

The Celtics aim to take a clear advantage in Game 2 on Sunday and come closer to their 18th NBA championship. The series will then shift to Boston for Games 3 and 4 next week.
