Ime Udoka and the Boston Celtics take on the Golden State Warriors tonight in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
Udoka has led Boston to the NBA Finals in his first season as an NBA head coach. At the same time, no player on the Celtics’ roster has ever played in the NBA Finals before.
However, the 44-year-old coach is not concerned at all about his team’s lack of NBA Finals experience. “Business as usual. Basketball as usual,” he told media, including Hedgeout.net, pregame.
Boston survived a Game 7 twice this postseason, both in the Eastern Conference semi-finals and the Finals. Now, they aim to “steal” the home-court advantage from the Warriors and take the upper hand. Games 1 and 2 will be played at Chase Center in San Francisco.
Ime Udoka isn't reading into our team's lack of Finals experience. His message to the team on that front has been simple: "Business as usual. Basketball as usual." — Boston Celtics (@celtics) June 2, 2022
