Miami Heat will play vs Boston Tuesday night without starting point guard Kyle Lowry, the team announced. Lowry did not play in Miami’s final two games of its conference semifinals series against Philadelphia.
He had missed four straight playoff games before Game 3 of the series vs. Philadelphia with a strained left hamstring. The veteran guard reinjured his left hamstring in the first half of Game 4 against the Sixers, which the Heat lost 116-108.
Lowry has not been himself in the 2022 NBA playoffs. He has struggled mighty averaging 6.2 points, 3.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game. During the regular season, he registered averages of 13.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 7.5 assists.
Miami also listed Caleb Martin (ankle), Max Strus (hamstring), P.J. Tucker (calf) and Gabe Vincent (hamstring) as questionable. The Celtics’ injury report lists Marcus Smart as questionable, and Sam Hauser as out.
The two teams will clash Tuesday night at Miami for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
