Miami Heat are hopeful Bam Adebayo will be ready for Game 1 of the first-round playoff series on Sunday.
Adebayo entered the Health and Safety protocols prior to the regular season finale last Sunday. He missed the game vs the Orlando Magic and hasn’t practiced yet.
“Erik Spoelstra said he has been in “constant communication” with Bam Adebayo this week. The hope is Adebayo will clear protocols to play in Game 1 on Sunday,” Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports.

The regular season finale vs the Magic was the only game that Bam Adebayo missed since returning to Heat lineup from injury on January 17.
The 24-year-old big man is averaging a career-high 19.1 points along with 10.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.8 blocks this season, while shooting 55.7% from the field.
Miami finished the regular season with the best record in the East (53-29). They will take on the winner of the Cleveland Cavaliers vs Atlanta Hawks play-in game.
