Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra praised Jimmy Butler for his performances in Games 3 and 4 vs the Philadelphia 76ers.

Butler went for 33 points and 10 rebounds in Game 3 on Friday, while posting 40 points (13/20 shooting) in Game 4.

“Jimmy’s [Butler] just an elite competitor. And he knows what’s needed for the team. And we were treading water and they were starting to pull away a little bit. He knew that he needed to be more assertive.

He was our best offensive option. To be able to attack and get in the paint. Get us a quality look. I thought we had other good open shots from that. Weren’t able to knock those down, but, hey, we still want those.

Our guys letting it fly. I would like to see a few more threes. See if we can generate a few more of those. Particularly the way we can shoot the ball.

But again, right now, I just need to get to the film and see what’s real and what’s emotional,” the head coach of the Heat told accredited media after Game 4 loss (108-116).

Butler and the Heat will aim to bounce back from their back-to-back losses, as they host the Sixers in Game 5.
