The Miami Heat decimated the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 5 (85-120) and grabbed a 3-2 lead in the series.

The hosts took control from the opening tip and never looked back. Miami led by 12 after the first quarter (19-31) and by as many as 37 to cruise to the victory. The Sixers never recovered and suffered a blowout loss.

Jimmy Butler led 7 Heat players in double figures, with a game-high 23 points. On the other hand, Joel Embiid and James Harden were the top scorers of the losing squad, with 17 and 14 points, respectively.

The series now moves back to Philadelphia for a pivotal Game 6 at Wells Fargo Center on Thursday. If the Sixers win, they will force a Game 7 on Sunday (May 15). If the Heat win, though, they will close out the series and move to the Eastern Conference Finals.
