Three NBA playoffs games take place tonight in Miami, Memphis and Phoenix, respectively. Two series are tied and one may be finished. Let’s take a look at the games, one by one!
We’re starting with the Miami Heat facing the Atlanta Hawks. This series is 3-1 for the Heat and is very likely to end tonight, as the hosts are the favorite of “American Airlines Arena’s” game.
The difference between the two teams is huge. Miami is, by far, the best team of the series and I strongly believe that the Heat will get the job done and qualify for the Eastern Conference semis, where they’ll face the winner of Philadelphia – Toronto series.
As we all understand, the path is getting tough, so they would prefer to rest, avoid an extra travel etc.
After all, the Hawks had their only win (in the series) in a very hard way, showing it’s really difficult to oppose the Heat! We must also take into account that Kyle Lowry will be out tonight.
My bet tip here is a win with 3.5 points handicap in Miami (1.55 odd).
The second, and possibly the most difficult, game of the night is Memphis Grizzlies vs Minnesota Timberwolves.
The series is tied, with both teams winning once at home and on the road. At the beginning, the Wolves managed to “steal” the home-court advantage, but the Grizzlies easily won it back.
In my eyes, the most likely scenario right now is home-court wins for both teams (or Memphis’ two consecutive wins), but it won’t be a walk in the park. Minnesota will claim their chances, since they know they can defeat their opponents.
This game’s bet tip is a win with 2.5 points for the Grizzlies (1.57 odd).
Last but not least, a series that has evolved into a real derby, something unexpectable, is the one between the Phoenix Suns and New Orleans Pelicans.
The Pelicans proved to be a real obstacle for the best team of the regular season. To be honest, the Suns are forced to play without one of their best players in Devin Booker. I think that if he was healthy, the series would probably end tonight.
But, we can’t speak with possibilities. I believe that despite Booker’s absence the Suns will take the W and almost close out the series. I would even give them a 2.5 handicap (1.52).
So:
Miami Heat – Atlanta Hawks 1 -3.5 (1.55)
Memphis Grizzlies – Minnesota Timberwolves 1 -2.5 (1.57)
Phoenix Suns – New Orleans Pelicans 1 -2.5 (1.52)
