This is what Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports, while the team’s official announcement is now expected. Based on the timetable, the young forward/center will miss the start of the NBA season, but he is expected to return before the end of the year.

Jaren Jackson Jr. was one of the best Grizzlies’ players last season, averaging 16.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game.

For its part, Memphis aims to return to title contention next season and they are expected to be among the favorites in the West.
