Giannis Antetokounmpo did his best to lead the Milwaukee Bucks to their seventh straight win in the NBA. But, the Golden State Warriors took over after the first quarter and emerged victorious (109-122).
The “Greek Freak” went for 31 points, eight rebounds and three assists, but Klay Thompson (season-high 38 points) and the Warriors cruised to the win.

Afterwards, the two-time NBA MVP praised Thompson for his performance and referred to Milwaukee’s target.
“We want to finish as high as we can in the standings. But, what is important is to play as good as we can and be at our best in May and June. There are several top teams in the East and we need to play harder than tonight,” Giannis Antetokounmpo told reporters, via Eurohoops.net.
The Bucks saw their six-game winning streak come to an end, but remained second in the East, at 42-26. They are 2.5 games below conference leaders Miami Heat (45-24). Up next, they travel to Salt Lake City to take on the Utah Jazz on Monday.
