Giannis Antetokounmpo says he ‘couldn’t care less’ about winning MVP, scoring titl

Giannis Antetokounmpo made an interesting statement on being a prime candidate to win the MVP and scoring title.

The “Greek Freak” said he doesn’t care much about winning these awards, because they distract him from his true goals.

“It holds you back. I really believe in this. You don’t get to your full potential if you worry on those things. I’m obsessed with basketball, I really want to be the best that I can be. I’m not about scoring champ, I couldn’t care less. I’m not about MVP, I couldn’t care less.

I just want to be the best player that I can be, and wherever that takes me, I’m okay with that. If I keep worrying about winning the scoring champ, it takes me away from the goals I really want to achieve.

Just focus on how I can get better, be a better teammate, be stronger, more explosive, how can I focus on myself without being selfish.

Those are the things that allow me to reach my full potential. An those are the things I worry about every single day – not scoring champ, MVPs,” Giannis Antetokounmpo told reporters, via Bleacher Report.
