Giannis Antetokounmpo made another dominant performance and led the Milwaukee Bucks to a big win over the Philadelphia 76ers (118-116).
The Greek Freak went for a game-high 40 points (16/24 shooting), 14 rebounds, six assists and three blocks. He also made the game-winning block on Joel Embiid and handed his team the victory.
While speaking to the media, including Hedgeout.net, afterwards, Giannis Antetokounmpo opened up aout his mindset when taking over a game.
“I just let my instinct play. There’s gonna be times where you can take over a game. There’s gonna be times that you’ve just gotta play within the game.
I just try to make plays. No matter what happens, I have to stay aggressive because I know that’s what I want. That’s when I enjoy basketball the most. That’s what my teammates want me to do.
There’s times when you can take over a game. There’s times when you don’t have to take over a game.
But, at the end of the day, it’s not a moment throughout the game where I say, “Oh, I’ve gotta take over the game right now.” I just let my instinct play. I just trust my instincts,” the two-time NBA MVP said.
Giannis Antetokounmpo has been unstoppable this season and has entered the MVP conversation. He is averaging 29.9 points, 11.6 rebounds and 5.8 assists in 62 games.
Thanks to their victory, the Bucks improved to 47-28 and came within half a game of East leaders Miami Heat (48-28). On Thursday, they take on the Brooklyn Nets in another high-stakes game.
