Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo had a great Gm 5 performance to lead his team in a huge victory over the Boston Celtics. Giannis finished with 40 points, including one clutch three when the Bucks were down six.
After the tough battle vs Boston, the Bucks superstar talked about the win and what it means going forward with a 3-2 lead. Antetokounmpo and co. are on the verge to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals.
“It feels good [to win], but at the end of the day, can’t get too high, can’t get too low,” Antetokounmpo told reporters.
“We were up seven or 10 the previous game; we lost it. They were up; they lost this one. It’s just — keep it going back and forth. At the end of the day, you can’t get too high for this.”
To fuel their 14-point comeback, the Bucks had to shoot a perfect 6-of-6 from beyond the arc to prevail in Boston. In addition, Jrue Holiday made two game-changing defensive plays in the last 20 seconds of the game to seal the deal.
After a disappointing third quarter, Milwaukee outscored its opponents 33-21 in the fourth quarter to nail its third win in the EC semifinal series. The Bucks will have the chance to close the series in front of their fans Friday night.
“Obviously, it’s great to win the game, it’s great to go back home and feel good about ourselves, but the job is not done.”
