Erik Spoelstra was very disappointed after the loss of the Miami Heat in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals vs the Boston Celtics.

Despite trailing by double digits multiple times, the Heat turned things around and cut the deficit to two (98-96). Yet, Jimmy Butler missed the go-ahead three-pointer and the Celtics won the game (100-96).

“It’s just one of those really tough moments. You can’t prepare for it. It’s one of the worst feelings into the world to address your locker room after a game like this,” Erik Spoelstra told media afterwards, via NBA.com.

Despite Butler’s epic performance (35 points, 9 rebounds), the Heat missed the chance to return to the NBA Finals after an one-year absence.

Instead, it was Boston that won the series and will now take on the Golden State Warriors in the Finals. Game 1 is on Thursday, June 2.
