Doncic, Durant named Players of the Week

Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks and Kevin Durant of the Brooklyn Nets were named NBA Players of the Week in the Western and Eastern Conference, respectively.

Doncic led the Mavericks to a 3-1 record including a win away from home vs the Boston Celtics Sunday. He averaged 30.5 points, 11.0 rebounds and 6.3 assists through those four games.

His best game came on March 7 when he scored 35 points in Dallas’ 103-111 win over the Utah Jazz. He also added 16 rebounds and seven assists.

The Mavericks (42-26) are currently No. 5 in the West standings. Dallas will play against Brooklyn Wednesday in a potential matchup between the two best players of week 21.


Kevin Durant has secured the Player of the Week award in the East with his 53-point game against the New York Knicks Sunday.

The All-Star forward averaged 30.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and 7.7 assists during a 3-0 week for Brooklyn.

The Nets (35-33) are currently No. 8 in the East standings. Brooklyn will have the chance to improve their record against Orlando Magic Tuesday.
