Devin Booker had high praise for Phoenix Suns head coach Monty Williams after the blowout win over the Chicago Bulls (102-129).
Booker said coach Williams is always ‘locked in’ and one of the main reasons for the team’s success. The All-Star guard also noted Monty Williams has done a ‘great job in keeping the locker room together and creating personal relationships’.

Under the veteran coach, Devin Booker and the Suns have been unstoppable. Last season, they reached the NBA Finals and came a step away from the championship. This year, they have been playing even better and have already clinched their spot in the playoffs.
Phoenix is at 57-14 and needs a few more wins to secure the top spot in the West. The Suns also need six victories to break the franchise win record.
With Devin Booker leading the way, the Suns will enter the postseason as the grand favorite to go all the way again.
For his part, the young guard has been tremendous all season long. He is averaging 25.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.9 assists in 59 games. Against the Bulls, he led all scorers with 28 points (20 in the first half), on 10/18 shooting.
“I am learning each year how to coach him,” Monty Williams said on Booker and how he elevates his game year after year.
Devin Booker and the Suns will now travel to Sacramento to take on the Kings on Sunday. Phoenix wants to maintain its momentum ahead of the postseason and is waiting the return of Chris Paul to get to full speed.
