Devin Booker flirted with the triple-double and led the Phoenix Suns to the 114-121 victory over the Dallas Mavericks (114-121).
The All-Star guard went for 23 points (7/20 shooting), 9 rebounds and 8 assists in the contest. Five more players scored in double figures for the winners.
On the other hand, Luka Doncic was unstoppable for the Mavericks, with 45 points (15/30 shooting), 12 boards and 8 assists. Maxi Kleber added 19 points (6/9 shooting) off the bench for the losing squad.
The Suns were in control from start to finish and led by as many as 21 points. Phoenix never trailed in the contest and cruised to an easy victory. For its part, Dallas attempted a late comeback, but came up short.
Phoenix now leads the series 1-0, with Game 2 taking place on Wednesday night.
