Phoenix Suns ruled out Devin Booker for Games 3 and 4 vs the New Orleans Pelicans. The Suns’ superstar suffered a mild right hamstring strain, but he hasn’t been ruled out for the rest of the opening-round, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Suns are still evaluating the situation further, waiting for updates from the imaging on Wednesday to get a full picture of the injury, per Woj. Booker went down with a hmastring injury in the second half of Game 2 of the first-round series vs Pelicans.

Booker had a productive first half in Tuesday night’s Game 2, scoring 31 points and nailing seven 3-pointers. The Suns were trailing 75-74 when he went down during the third quarter.

He appeared to tweak his right hamstring as he was jumping to challenge a Jaxson Hayes dunk in transition. He immediately asked for a timeout and went to the locker room immediately.

After Booker’s injury, the Pelicans took control of the game and cruise to the victory to tie the series in 1 win apiece. The Suns were 8-6 in games without Booker this season. The Suns finished the regular season with a franchise-best 64 wins.

Booker has dealt with hamstring issues the past two seasons. He suffered a similar injury in November missing seven games. He also dealt with a hamstring injury during the 2021 NBA Finals, but, he played through it.

The Suns play the Pelicans again on Friday at Smoothie King Center, New Orleans.
