Danny Green called out the Philadelphia 76ers after the blowout loss to the Miami Heat in Game 5 on Tuesday (85-120).
With the Sixers facing elimination, the three-time NBA champion wants his team to wake up and beat the Heat in Game 6.
“It shouldn’t take (elimination) for us to wake up. Our last performance was inexcusable,” Danny Green told media, via Gina Mizell of the Philadelphia Inquirer.
The Sixers now trail the series 3-2. If they win, they will force a Game 7 on Sunday, May 15. Philadelpia has protected its home court twice in this series, but has lost all three games in Miami.
The shootaround availabilities for Danny Green and Tyrese Maxey — typically two of the most talkative and good-natured Sixers — lasted less than six total minutes. Not much to say.
