Curry, Green and Thompson reunite on court for the first time in 3 years

Steph Curry received his birthday gift on Monday night as he saw him, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green reuniting on the court for the first time in three seasons.

Curry, Dray and Klay played together again in the Warriors‘ 112-126 win over the Washington Wizards. The 34-year-old legendary shooter erupted for 47 points on Monday night, while, Thompson added 20 points.

Green, who had been sidelined with a disk injury in his lower back and played for the first time since Jan. 9, finished with six points, seven rebounds and six assists in 20 minutes. He was a plus-24 for the time he remained on the floor.

Curry shot 16 for 25 with seven 3-pointers, while the Warriors ended up shooting 53 percent from the field to snap a three-game losing streaking to the Wizards.

After the contest, Draymond Green made clear Golden State has only one goal in its mind going forward.

“Obviously the two seed will be great, but we’re not chasing it,” Draymond told NBC Sports Bay Area. “Whether we’re two seed or three seed, we’re going to win a championship, so it don’t really matter.”

After Monday’s victory, Golden State (47-22) moved into a tie with the Memphis Grizzlies (47-22) for the No. 2 seed in the West.

Steph Curry, who celebrated his birthday in the best way possible, doubled down on his connection with Thompson and Green.

”It is crazy to think first time me, Klay and Draymond had been on the court in a very, very long time. We want to keep building on that. We know each other like the back of our hand, we complement each other very well,” Curry told reporters after the game.

The Warriors have the playoffs already in mind. If Green, Curry and Klay remain healthy for the rest of the season, then the possibility of adding another championship to their legacy is increasing.
