Crvena Zvezda survived a late thriller in Game 5 vs Partizan (80-77) and won the ABA League title, clinching its spot in the EuroLeague, too.

It was a hard-fought battle for almost the entire contest, but Zvezda stood tall and claimed its third straight championship. For its part, Partizan had the chance to force overtime, but Kevin Punter and Zach LeDay missed the game-tying three-pointers at the buzzer.

It was an intense game both on and off the court, which lasted for almost three and a half hours. Due to that intensity, the referees demanded the evacuation of the arena in order to resume the game.

After winning the championship, Crvena Zvezda secured its ticket to the 2022/23 EuroLeague. At the same time, Partizan may also return to the competition after 8 years, via a wild card.
