CJ McCollum is enjoying his time with the New Orleans Pelicans and wants to help the squad build a winning culture.
The star guard joined New Orleans earlier this month (February 10) and has already made the difference for the Pelicans.
In seven games with his new team, CJ McCollum is averaging 28 points, 5.9 rebounds and 5.6 assists. He is also shooting at 52.8% from the field and 43.4% from beyond the arc.
“I’m enjoying my time in New Orleans, happy to be here. They accepted me with open arms. The food is tremendous, the people are great.
We’re putting together a winning culture with Willie (Green). I’m excited about the future,” McCollum told ESPN after the triumph vs the Lakers.

McCollum went for 22 points, as New Orleans crushed the 17-time NBA champions at Crypto.com Arena (123-95).
Following McCollum’s trade, the Pelicans are 3-4, while remaining undefeated after the All-Star break (2-0).
Currently, the Pelicans are 10th in the West, at 25-36. They are 2,5 games behind ninth-placed Lakers (27-33) and tied with 11th-placed Portland Trail Blazers.
The Pelicans will seek to extend their winning streak to three games when they host the Sacramento Kings on Wedesday. Sacramento is 13th in the West (22-40), 3.5 games behind New Orleans.
