Chris Paul probable for Suns vs Nuggets after missing 15 games

Chris Paul could be available to play tonight in the clash between Phoenix Suns and Denver Nuggets. The Phoenix Suns listed their starting point guard as probable for Thursday night’s game.

The 12x time All-Star has been sidelined because of a fracture in his right thumb he suffered in February. He missed the next 15 games of his team.

The veteran superstar guard is averaging 14.9 points and an NBA-best 10.7 assists through 58 appearances. The Suns missed their best playmaker, but, they remained dominant with the best record in the NBA.

Not only is the 36-year-old point guard potentially back with nine games to play, but Phoenix also remains atop the West at 59-14. They had a nine-game lead over the second-placed Memphis Grizzlies, who registered their 50th win of the season Wednesday.

Phoenix is riding a six-game winning streak and has gone 11-4 since Paul went down. With Paul back, they Suns are heading to the postseason with all their key players present.

Paul wasn’t slated to return before April 3, but, he will make his return even sooner. Point-guard duties have largely rested on the shoulders of Cameron Payne, Devin Booker and Aaron Holiday during veteran point guard absence.

After making the NBA Finals and falling to the Bucks in six games, the Suns have set their sights on returning to the championship games by being the most dominant team of the NBA all season.
