The Boston Celtics defeated the Brooklyn Nets in Game 4 (116-112) and swept the series to advance to the Eastern Conference semi-finals.
In a late thriller that was decided in the final seconds, the Celtics endured the comeback of the Nets to win the game and close out the series.
Boston was up by 15 in the third (90-75), but Brooklyn turned things around to make it an one-point game (109-108). The visitors stood tall, though, and emerged victorious from Barclays Center.
Jayson Tatum had 29 points for the winners, while Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart added 22 and 20 points, respectively. On the other hand, Kevin Durant led all scorers with 39 points.
Durant lost in the first round for the first time since 2010 with Oklahoma City, the first playoff series of his career. He had won nine straight first-round series.
The Celtics will now collide with the winner of the Milwaukee Bucks vs Chicago Bulls series, with Boston having the home-court advantage.
