Celtics rout Heat; tie ECF series 2-2

Jumping out with a 26-4 lead in the early minutes, the Celtics demolished the Miami Heat 102-82 to tie the Eastern Conference Finals (2-2). As it was expected, the Celtics, who played without Marcus Smart,  bounced back from a hurtful defeat in Game 3.

Miami missed 15 of its first 16 shots and the contest was finished within the first 12 minutes of first quarter. The Celtics improved to 5-0 this postseason following a loss where the Heat started with 39-18.

Jayson Tatum scored 31 points, bouncing back from a 10-point performance in Game 3. Payton Pritchard had 14 points for the Celtics. Derrick White added 13 points, eight rebounds and six assists.

Victor Oladipo led the Miami Heat with 23 points. Miami ruled out Tyler Herro prior to the game, while five more played through injury. The Celtics led by 27 points in the second quarter and stretched their advantage to 32 in the third.

The Heat were without Tyler Herro, who suffered a groin injury late in Game 3. Jimmy Butler, Kyle Lowry, P.J. Tucker, Max Strus and Bam Adebayo combined for 7 of 36 shooting and only scored 18 points.

Now the series revert to Miami for Game 5 of the series.
