The Boston Celtics made a wild comeback and stunned the Golden State Warriors (120-108) to take the lead in the NBA Finals.

Down by 12 entering the fourth quarter (80-92), the Celtics turned things around quickly and outscored the Warriors 40-16 to cruise to the victory. Boston hit a total of 21 three-pointers (21/41) and closed the game on a 20-5 run to seal the deal.

Prior to that, Golden State led by as many as 15 late in the third (72-87), outscoring the visitors 24-38. However, the wild comeback enabled Boston to “steal” the home-court advantage.

Five players scored in double figures for the winners, with Al Horford leading the way with 26 points and 6 three-pointers (6/8 from beyond the arc).

On the other hand, Stephen Curry led all scorers with 34 points (12/25 shooting, 7/14 from beyond the arc), with 21 of them coming in the opening quarter. Jordan Poole and Klay Thompson added 20 and 15 points, respectively.

With the Celtics now having an 1-0 lead, the series remains in San Francisco for Game 2, which will take place on Sunday.
