The Boston Celtics endured the comeback of the Golden State Warriors and took the 100-116 victory in Game 3 of the NBA Finals.
Trailed by as many as 18 in the contest, the Warriors went on a 25-10 run in the third to take the lead (83-82). Yet, Boston stood tall, reclaimed the lead and outscored Golden State 11-23 in the fourth to seal the deal.
Three players scored 24+ points for the winners, with Jaylen Brown leading the way with 27 points (17 in the opening quarter).
Stephen Curry (31 points) and Klay Thompson (25 points) combined for 56 points for the losing squad, which led only twice in the contest (2-0, 83-82).
The Celtics grabbed a 2-1 lead in the NBA Finals and are now heading to Game 4 on Friday to take a clear advantage. For their part, the Warriors will aim to even the series, which remains to Boston and TD Garden.
