The Boston Celtics dominated the Chicago Bulls (117-94) and are still chasing the Miami Heat for the top spot in the East.
Boston never trailed in the contest, led by as many as 27 and went on to win the game and the season series (2-1).
Five Celtics players scored in double figures, with Jaylen Brown leading the way with 25 points. On the other hand, DeMar DeRozan had a team-high 16 points for the losing squad.
The Celtics improved to 50-30 and are two games behind the Heat (52-28). They also secured the home-court advantage in the first round.
Boston has now won three straight and 14 of its last 17. They tipped off a three-game, season-ending road trip with a blowout victory. The Celtics will take on the Milwaukee Bucks and the Indiana Pacers in their remaining regular season games.
On the contrary, already-qualified Bulls dropped to 45-35, missing the chance to climb to fifth on the table. They have now lost three in a row and are 2-21 vs the top four teams in the East and West.
