Garland sustained a bone injury (bruise) in his back prior to the All-Star Game. He missed games because of that, but appeared in the All-Star Game. Cleveland head coach J.B Bickerstaff told reporters he plans to give the young guard more time to recover.

The Cavs have also ruled Caris LeVert out with foot injury. The veteran guard is dealing with a right foot sprain he suffered at practice. He is set to return in mid-March.

The Cleveland Cavaliers currently are fourth in the East, at 36-24. They are one of the favorites for the direct qualification for the playoffs. The squad ralied past the Washington Wizards on Saturday night to maintain a top four push (86-92).
