DeMar DeRozan scored a career playoff-high 41 points and the Chicago Bulls prevailed in a tough game vs the Milwaukee Bucks with 114-110 on Wednesday night.

With the win, the Bulls tied the series at 1 game apiece and they’re heading back to Chicago with the Bucks, who missed Khris Middleton and Bobby Portis to injuries during the game.

Bobby Portis left the game with a right eye abrasion after the first quarter, and Khris Middleton exited with a sore left knee after slipping midway through the fourth quarter. Despite the injuries, the Bucks fought hard.

The Bulls extended their margin to 16 points (65-49) at the end of the first half to take control of the game. They remained ahead until Milwaukee made a late run in the third and fourth quarter to eventually cut the lead down 3 (112-109) with 58 seconds remaining.

However, the Bulls kept their composure and outhustled Milwaukee in the last possessions of the game securing two crucial offensive rebounds. Meanwhile, DeRozan converted a driving layup to extend Chicago’s lead to 114-109 with 18.0 seconds remaining.

Along with DeRozan’s incredible performance, Nikola Vucevic added 24 points and 13 rebounds, while Zach LaVine had 20 points as the Bulls beat the Bucks for just the second time in their last 19 meetings.

The Bucks saw Giannis Antetokounmpo becoming the franchise leader in scoring in postseason games surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. The reigning Finals MVP had 33 points 18 rebounds and nine assists.
