Chicago Bulls will play without Alex Caruso and Zach LaVine in Game 5 of the series vs the Milwaukee Bucks. Caruso has been on the concussion protocol after he received an inadvertent hit to the face from Bucks guard Jevon Carter in Game 4.
LaVine was announced that he entered the NBA’s health and safety protocols on Tuesday. His availability for Game 5 was in jeopardy, and the team ruled him out officially Wednesday.
The Bulls have a 9-6 record in games LaVine has missed this season. He has averaged 19.3 points, 6.0 assists and 5.3 rebounds in this series. Caruso will also be an important absence for the Bulls, who will try to save their season Wednesday after going down 3-1.
Caruso has averaged 6.3 points and 4.3 assists in this series, and he earned praise for his defense in the first two games of the series, when Chicago managed to split the games in Milwaukee.
Chicago started the postseason undermanned in the guard position as they’re missing starting point guard Lonzo Ball. The absences of Caruso and LaVine will make their mission tonight tougher.
