Bradley Beal decided to remain with the Washington Wizards and has his sights set on leading the franchise to the NBA championship.
The superstar guard recently agreed to a five-year, supermax contract extension with the the Wizards, worth a total of $254M.
The new deal will keep him in Washington until the end of the 2026/27 season and this will mark 15 years since he first joined the team (2012, No.3 of the Draft).
“Winning a championship here would mean the world to me. That would mean more than up, leaving, and playing with four other All-Stars. I firmly believe in my heart that I can win here,” Beal said, via Quinton Mayo.
Bradley Beal was limited to just 40 games last season and shot a career-low 30% from beyond the arc. He averaged 23.2 points, 4.7 rebounds and 6.6 assists. The Wizards went 35-47 last season and missed the playoffs for the third time in four years.
