Grant Williams had the game of his life from beyond the arc and the Boston Celtics advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals after beating Milwaukee 81-109. The Celtics dominated for three quarters and beat the defending champions.
Williams finished with a career-high 27 points on 7-of-18 shooting from beyond the arc. Jayson Tatum added 23 with eight assists and six rebounds. Jaylen Brown added 19 points along with eight rebounds.
The Celtics shot a massive number of threes (55) to make 22 attempts and ran away with the victory. Milwaukee only had 4 makes in 33 three-point attempts. Giannis Antetokounmpo registered 25 points, 20 rebounds and nine assists.
He scored or assisted 24 of the 26 first quarter points for the Bucks, who started strong and led early in the first quarter. Jrue Holiday followed Giannis with 21 points and eight rebounds.
Boston will face the Miami Heat in the Conference Finals starting Tuesday. This is the fourth Conference Final trip in six years for the Celtics.
