Nick Weiler-Babb (19) and DeShaun Thomas (19) combined for 38 points and Bayern Munich decimated ALBA Berlin 60-90 to stay alive in the German BBL finals series (2-1). Bayern started strong and created a 15-23 separation in the first quarter.
As the game continued, the Bavarians were steadily increasing the lead with Bayern building a comfortable 22-point advantage (44-22) and Babb and Thomas taking over in the offensive side. Bayern close the half ahead 53-33.
Othello Hunter and Nihad Djedovic were among the top performers for the winning side with 13 and 10 points respectively. Oscar da Silva led with 15 points and five rebounds, while Maodo Lo had 10 points for ALBA, which scored the lowest points total in the series.
The second half was a formality for the visitors as they extended the finals series to four games. Bayern will need two more wins for the title, while ALBA is heading to Audi Dome for another chance to clinch the title.
That was the biggest margin in a road win ever in the German BBL finals as the Bavarians played without four important pieces of their roster. Vladimir Lucic missed the second consecutive game while Leon Radosevic also sit out Game 3.
