Andre Drummond was part of the Los Angeles Lakers for a few months before leaving through free agency last summer and joining the Philadelphia 76ers.
Drummond understood one thing during his limited time in LA, it’s different from playing for any other team.
“Yeah the Lakers is exactly what you think it is man, you gotta be built differently to play for that organization, you gotta be mentally strong not only on the court but off the court too because there’s so much expectations to being a Laker and putting that purple and gold on because if you ain’t living up to expectations they will let you know you ain’t worthy enough to put on that jersey,” Durmmond said, as transcribed by NBC Sports.

During the 2020-21 season, Drummond became a free agent after the Cleveland Cavaliers bought the rest of his contract. The Lakers were in need for another bigman and signed Drummond.
However, Drummond got injured in the first game and missed time. When he returned towards the end of the season showed flashes of his abilities.
In the 25 games he played in a Laker uniform, Drummond averaged 11.9 points and 10.2 rebounds per game. He left the franchise the summer and signed a deal with the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Lakers are watched by million of people around the world as one of the franchises with the most history in the NBA. It’s pretty obvious there will pressure playing for their fan base.
Drummond is now in Brooklyn, a franchise with championship aspirations but also a lot of outside noise. Drummond will be a free agent again this summer.
